oooh, i’ve been looking at some of the other girls‘ blogs to see what they got from the socks, drugs and rock’n’roll swap . i can’t wait to get my parcel! i’ve been warned by my swap pal that she will be late because the „rock’n’roll“ didn’t arrive yet… so i guess i just have to wait. but it’s hard! 😉

but i’m almost as curious to see what my swap pal mangomilch thinks about the things she got from me. i SO hope the socks will fit… and will be liked of course 🙂 she’ll have opened the package by now, so i don’t spoil the surprise by showing you my creation (+ more photos here):

i did it. i frogged katharine vest. it just didn’t work out.

yesterday i stumbled across a lovely cardigan pattern by accident, made a gauge which fitted exaclty and just started! it’s going to be the swing cardigan from vogue knitting spring/summer 2007.

i much better love this shiny cotton yarn in stockinette stich than in lace! very exciting. i hope the size will turn out ok this time, but from the measures and gauge i’m optimistic…

i started to knit my first piece of clothing ever… so far only socks, skarfs, mittens, hats etc… how exciting.

apparently i didn’t pick the easiest pattern for my first try though. the katharine vest from interweaver knits, spring 2008. here are some photos of the progress. slowly but steady…

isn’t this the loveliest sock yarn you have ever seen?! like strawberries…
i’m desperately looking for a sock pattern that suites this beauty 🙂
