i was thinking of a special scarf for some time… had a look at many shops but i didn’t find what i had in mind. but hey, i’m knitter, right?! so i just knit my dream scarf myself. 🙂
the idea: a long, wide, ribbed purple scarf with fringe!
so i got some yarn at ebay, 600g of austermann mombasa (100% cotton, 100m/50g)…
…and started with a very easy pattern. co 89 st, then k3, p3 aaaaaall the way until the scarf is about 2m long… which will take forever… but anyway 😉
the last 30 days…
felt it was time for a new ipod cozy… i got bored with my old, ugly rubber one and don’t like just tossing my beauty in my bags… so i came up with this rocking little cozy 😉
unfortunately i found out that felt isn’t great to stencil on. due to the texture of the fabric the paint soaks under the stencil a little.
but anyway: it’s pink, it’s stencil, it’s rock’n’roll!
i thought about making a whole bunch of these and sell them on etsy/dawanda shop. in all kinds of colours and with all kinds of messages… iRock, iPop, myPod, iDance,….
what do you think?! 🙂
today i invested a few dollars for the wordpress css extension. now i can modify the css of my blog *yippeee*
you can either build the site’s css from scratch or – as i did – use a design as basis and modify what you like.
i quite like the „misty“ design, so i used that and basically changed the width of the content block, the link colours and the headline image…so far so good.
let’s see what i come up with next. possibilites are (well, almost) endless! 🙂
just finished my sherbrooke cowl. it was a very easy project. absolutely mindless knitting.
pattern: sherbrooke
yarn:1.5 skeins of lana grossa, superlana.
needles: set of 4.5mm dpns
autumn can come. i’m prepared!
it’s done! the seascape stole. i don’t think i’ll keep it for myself, but don’t know yet how’ll get it as a present… 🙂
pattern: seascape
yarn: handpaintedyarn lace, esmeraldas, less than 1 skein
needles: 4.5mm
almost finished! i washed and blocked my seascape stole today. now i just need to wait…
