pattern: slouchy copy cat hat
yarn: wolle rödel, universal, 100% merino
kevin and me are showing off the binary cable hats i knit. matching hats like a strange old couple. except we are neither old nor a couple *lol*
did i mention that i love winding yarn? i guess i have 😉
these are 2 more lovely yarn cakes. all the wollmeise goodness which i wound for a colleague. i just love looking at the yarn! colourways „indisch rot“ (lace) and „tiefer see“ (4ply).
… is finally finished. yay!
wollmeise yarn is precious. so i try to use every single meter and centimeter of it. this is what i knit yesterday with the leftovers from my clapotis:
i just love wollmeise! whatever you knit from it, it looks and feels wonderful 🙂
knit another binary cable hat. this time for me and in just 2 days. i love the pattern. because it’s so nerdy and because it’s so quick! 🙂
london is not only good for sightseeing, party, music and all that, but also for crafts shopping. have a look at my treasures.
2 4oz skeins of cherry tree hill sock yarn (100% merino), simply knitting magazine, son of stitch ’n bitch:
i got those at „i knit“ near waterloo:
„i’d rather be knitting“ cup, england and mini star buttons:
i got those at „all the fun of the fair“ at kingsley court, carnaby street:
winding some lovely wollmeise „indisch rot“ to start a lace ribbon scarf while i’m in london. i don’t go anywhere without my knitting 😉
i love my swift and yarn winder. so comfortable. and fast. and fun. 🙂
pattern: binary cable hat
yarn: belday monaco, grey, acrylic
idea: i love the idea of this pattern! the cables represent the numbers 0 to 15 in binary. how? a cable twist = 1, no cable twist = 0. so what you can see on the photo are numbers 1 to 7 (+ half of 8). how cool is that! perfect present from nerd to nerd!
i love them already! 🙂
pattern: showbird mittens, vogue knitting fall 2008
yarn: lana grossa cool wool 2000
