blue & dots dress

hm, there’s actually no occasion for this dress. i just though that sewing girls‘ dresses would be a lot of fun. they are so cute! so i went to karstadt and got myself a sewing pattern for this little dress…
it’s (german) size 92, the blue fabric is from the sale at karstadt, the dotted one is from ikea.
doesn’t it look nice?! such a quick and easy piece to sew. the only challenge was the application – my first one. but it turned out quite good for the first try 🙂

back from scotland: deep loch scarf

this is a very special project! since i didn’t want to neglect my crafting 365 project i had to take some crafting work with me to our 17-day scotland trip. well i’d have taken some knitting with me anyway 😉
so i decided for the montego bay pattern and a lovely wollmeise yarn in the colourway „tiefer see“ = „deep lake“. so the deep loch scarf was born…
and it went everywhere with me during those 17 days in scotland!!

1) stirling
2) balloch, loch lomond
3) oban
4) walking along the coast north of oban
5) fort william
6) eilean donan castle
7) sango bay, durness
8 ) last house in scotland, john o’groats
9) inverness
10) fort george
11) glenfiddich distillery, dufftown
12) balmoral castle
13) in the car, stirling
14) nessie in edinburgh
15) view over edinburgh
16) edinburgh again
17) on scotland map, back home

vince noir – rock’n’roll star

i used my „noir“ mighty boosh stencil again to make another booshy shirt! this time a quite summery one…

i love how it turned out and i’ll wear it with pride although hardly anybody knows the boosh in germany. but it’s a cool shirt anyway 🙂 at least the scotsmen will recognize it on our scotland trip (where we hopefully have good enough weather to wear tops at all 😉 )

clapotis finished!

tadaaaa, here it is. i really love how it turned out after washing and blocking 🙂 looks really shiny and bright in the sunlight… can’t wait for a cooler day to wear it. oh, did i just say that?!

i ended up knitting one repeat less in the increase section and 19 repeats in the straight section. i think i could have done one more repeat, but i panicked that i would run out of yarn 😉 after blocking the clapotis measures 30cm x 152cm.

deep loch

just got this lovely skein of wollmeise 100% merino with the post. my mom bought it for me at the „sindelfinger handwerkermarkt“ because wollmeise don’t sell any yarn online at them moment!

the yarn is called „tiefer see“, which means deep lake. i’ll call it „deep loch“ because this will be the yarn i take with me to our scotland trip 🙂 i think it’s going to be a montego bay scarf – the perfect mindless holiday knit.

i cast on to see if the montego bay pattern, the yarn and 4.5mm needles worked out… they do, don’t you think?!
